A party, the Democratic Party, born of popular participation in 2007 with the primary and that in a single year in our region has seen the birth and institutions throughout 131 countries, clubs and coordination in order to represent the requests of our community. The Democratic Party today, is called to renew the political project that must be identified and must respond to requests for a party that has the ambition to be a major vocation, to be strong reformist as well as imagined and understood at the time of its creation. I want to remember that our party was born from the awareness that it needed the union of the folk tradition with the Catholic Democrats and that the origin of the PD is the great and sometimes painful, choice of alliances. Nearly two years after its birth, we are called to decide on the political path that our party has to undertake, and we must do so by asking, first, the reason for this major project, in so short a span, though difficult, was unable to fiery tempers and expectations of our constituents by bringing to lose support. The work that has seen me involved in the function of this great city party secretary, has filled my heart with great joy, but above all I was charged with great responsibilities. I embarked on this adventure and accepted this task knowing that, as in any social group, each is necessary, but no one is indispensable. From birth, our club has experienced moments of great participation alternate with extreme loneliness. Moments that have suffered along with me, all those who, being in institutional roles (mayor, councilors, advisors), they still found the strength to accept full responsibility to which they were called, never hiding behind the'alibi "lack of party."
